Publishing Ethics
Original papers must be submitted exclusively to Int. Biotechnol. Color J. and are accepted after peer reviewed. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and their institutions. it is important to maintain ethical standards between the author, the director, the editor in chief, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society.
Copyright
Describes the rights related to the publication and distribution of research. It governs how authors, their institution, publishers and the wider general public can use, publish and distribute articles.
Journal author rights
In order for Int. Biotechnol. Color J. to publish and disseminate research articles, we need publishing rights. This is determined by a publishing agreement between the author and Int. Biotechnol. Color J. This agreement deals with the transfer or license of the copyright to Int. Biotechnol. Color J. and authors retain significant rights to use and share their own published articles. Int. Biotechnol. Color J. supports the need for authors to share, disseminate and maximize the impact of their research and these rights,
For open access articles
Authors sign an exclusive license agreement, where authors have copyright but license exclusive rights in their article to the publisher. In this case authors have the right to: Share their article in the same ways permitted to third parties under the relevant user license Retain patent, trademark and other intellectual property rights (including research data). Proper attribution and credit for the published work.
Accessibility
Int. Biotechnol. Color J. publish articles fully accessible to all users and always adhere to applicable law and international standards.
Authors must:
Avoid plagiarism, cite the work of others. Disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations. Approve the submitted and published versions of the paper.
Reviewers must:
Conduct themselves fairly and impartially. Maintain the confidentiality of the review process. Alert the Editor in Chief and director of any conflict of interest and decline to review where appropriate.
Editor should:
Maintain and promote consistent ethical policies for Int. Biotechnol. Color J. Ensure the confidentiality of the review process.
Policies
The authors of the manuscript should be clearly indicated in the document submitted for peer-reviewed article to Int. Biotechnol. Color J. For publish an article all the authors must approve the publication of that information. If some author will be included or excluded of the manuscript, after the review process, should be made in writing the respective application with the signature of all authors of the manuscript, who will endorse the application. The views expressed in the papers are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official positions of any member of the editorial board or director or the editor in chief. Their total or partial reproduction is strictly forbidden without the prior written approval of the Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Indusrial and Derechos de Autor of SEP.
